ALCOVE

A Park Pavilion informed by a wider landscaping strategy for a small London park. Overlapping circles, derived form existing Art Deco Garden, create nodes for movement and connection, pausing and destination. The pavilion’s linear form, defining the park edge, is eroded by the these circular forms creating a sculptural alcove, or even apse, as a focus for park activities and the terminating vista of the main axis through the park.
